Oceania by soundwave3591 Oceania by soundwave3591
Something that I've noticed is fairly uncommon amongst artists: introspection of Oceania, the totalitarian regime at the heart of George Orwell's 1984. while there is plenty of propaganda posters and the like, a search of "Oceania soldiers" revealed next to nothing.
So, here is an interpretation of what an armament sheet for Oceania would look like, with the inclusion of atomic bombers, jet fighters, rocket bombs, and, of course, the Thought Police. According to The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism technology has slowed down as innovation is stifled, hence why all this looks straight out of the 1950's.

if this is well-received, I might do one for Eurasia.

Well, it's a 4-8-4 Northern type, but looks British Built. Maybe call this class the Z1.

You do make a quite a point, and as interpretations go, I think is rather good.

Also, minor tangent. I think in order to get a feel for the Thought Police, you should come up with some Newspeak for them (but have fun with that if you pursue, I couldn't even come up with anything XD)
