Senators

The Spartan Empire, for it's Fascist status, does in fact have a large and well-organized senate body to direct day-to-day affairs and diplomatic relations. while all decisions are subject to the final say of the Military high council and the Supreme Overlord, Senators enjoy a high status of power within the Imperial government, and sector representatives can at times wield power equivalent to the presidents of some republics.

in this scene, Spartan Senatorial High Council member Audrey Sybrine speaks with her counterpart and longtime friend, ICS representative Carmen LaTherese. Sybrine is dressed in the uniform coat of her office: those who in the past have mocked it as "unprofessional" have often disappeared shortly thereafter.

LaTherese, as the Representative in the Spartan Senate of the Interstellar Covenanted Sates, is equal parts negotiator, Ambassador, and senator. Being representative of the Empire's oldest and longest Ally, her canny skills in the Senate chambers have quelled any issues that have cropped up between the Empire and the nations of the ICS. her friendship with Sybrine, who is the Granddaughter of Spartan Grand Admiral Horton, has ensured that she has access to decisions regarding Military affairs involving her nation as well.
