Shadowship

Description

Name: Metropolitan Shadowship

size: 12 meters in length.

Weaponry:
mass-shadow generator: can replicate the gravitational mass of a large planet, to throw off incoming projectiles and enemy vessels
Subspace “trap” can capture enemy vessels or objects and pull them into a subspace pocket, trapping them within via a constantly cycling phase generator, preventing any escape.
while trapped in the pocket, the trapped object is then obliterated via a molecular phase shifter that deconstructs the atomic structure of the victim, forcing their atoms to repel one another and thereby obliterate themselves. There is no defense against this, and no escape from the pocket.

Defense:
the vessel possesses a shielding system that immediately mirrors all energy attacks against it. The more powerful the weapon, the more powerful the response. Even weapons as powerful as Axiom’s Blinker can be reflected.
however, continued use of this system can , in time, wear down on the ship, and other systems may weaken as a result.

Shielding:
the vessels are able to survive the “ground Zero” of a supernova without visible damage or weakening of shield structure. This may tie into the Rift-shields the vessel possesses, which literally shunt all physical projectiles and mass energy waves into subspace.

Engines/FTL:
no visible engine structure or detectable heat signature is visible on examination of the vessel
FTL: instant-cross-galactic transport via the Rift-gate engine. The vessel can literally travel from one side of the Galaxy to the other in an instant.

Miscellaneous:
at this moment, only one of these vessels has been seen in the Galaxy at large. Nothing is known about how the vessel functions: whether or not it has a crew, or is autonomous, how it’s propulsion systems work, or how it’s weapons work.
