Class 25: the standard workhorse of the SFR, these decapods are jacks of all trade, able to pull passenger and freight trans with ease. their simplicity, combined with their ease of maintenance, and ability to change gauges with little work, allow for both ease of Export and Engineer training. these engines are used in many eastern European nations as well.

Class 82: based on a British express locomotive, this engine hauls main stream passenger trains, and troop trains. while it can haul freight, this is a waste of the engines talents, making it slog slowly over the goods lines rather than living it's full potential hauling a stream of 12 passenger coaches at 0ver 90 MPH.

R47: following success of Engines bought from NW loco works (thanks again Lapeer9!) Spartan Federal Railways wanted to design a compound of their own, but using local parts. as a result, the engine is almost entirely made of parts from Class 25 Decapods, particularly the wheels and cylinders. it is a slow hauler, but can move massive loads. the condenser tender allows it to conserve on water while in the mountains or while crossing the Salt ice flats in the southern portion of the continent.

34T : Primarily, a switcher, the Chesco is capable of hauling short line Freight and commuter trains at average speeds, while two are able to shift a stalled R47 and most of it's train at a crawl pace. Speed is not really an issue on freight. safety and steadiness is.
